YOUR DUTY OF CARE
The law says the person who produces the waste is responsible for where it ends up.
Householders and businesses must only give waste to a registered carrier. It's a simple check that keeps you on the right side of the law.
If a cheap, unlicensed collector dumps your waste, it can be traced back to you. Councils can fine you even if you paid someone to take it.
Any genuine waste company will give you its registration number straight away. Ours is CBDU389101.
Tip: Be wary of very cheap rubbish collections advertised on social media with no licence number. If the price seems too good to be true, the waste may end up dumped.
WHERE IT GOES
Every skip and skip bag is delivered and collected by the D J Recycling team. We don't pass your job on to strangers.
Each load goes to a licensed waste site, where wood, metal, cardboard, rubble and green waste are separated.
As much as possible is recycled or reused. Only what can't be recovered goes to landfill.

We take it to a licensed waste site, where it is sorted. Wood, metal, cardboard, rubble and green waste are separated for recycling, and only what can't be reused goes to landfill.
Asbestos, paint, chemicals, gas bottles, batteries and other hazardous waste can't go in. Fridges and freezers are collected separately, so tell us first.
